Metys is the consulting practice of Fraser Hyde, an operational technology specialist based in Brisbane.

Fraser has spent his career hands-on with mining technology systems – deploying them, supporting the teams who run them, and building the reporting and analytics that sit on top. That work has covered dispatch and technical services teams, maintenance and reliability data from OEM telemetry systems, and operator training and governance.

Metys was founded on a straightforward observation from that time on site: most operations are seeing only a fraction of the value available from the systems they are running on site. Often the gap is not in the technology but in how it is set up, used and integrated into the business. Every operation is different, and what it needs from its systems differs too.

Metys is independent and vendor-neutral, and works with mining operations and the wider industry.
